Aloha o'hana and friends, and we are so happy to be reopening (after a long 7-month state closure) with our Governor's and Mayor's support effective October 15, 2020 for guests who are able to secure negative FDA-approved nucleic acid amplification tests (NAAT) for Covid, performed using a nasal swab in front of authorized personnel, and who can show proof of negative test results from a CLIA certified laboratory, tests taken 72 hours or less prior to their final leg of departure to Hawaii.

We used to make it a practice to hug all guests upon arrival. Now we hope you will understand that we will greet you with masks and provide a virtual hug and aloha as we welcome you to our property. In accordance with the advice of medical experts and industry best practices, all guests will be required to wear a mask when in public spaces on the property.

We are a low-density and open-air vacation property. We have a total of six bungalows for accommodation, for a maximum capacity at any time of 12 guests. Our bungalows have ceiling and floor louvers for open-air ventilation, and our bedrooms are equipped with individual A/C units, filters cleaned between guest stays. We are taking additional steps to both clean and sanitize high-touch surfaces between guest stays.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The Kulani Maui is required to request that all guests present an approved negative COVID-19 test upon check-in. We are not a state or county-approved facility for guests to quarantine on the property, and local law enforcement has been strict. If you are unable to attain a negative test prior to arrival, we will happily reschedule your reservation. (Please note that negative test results are also required to rent cars on Maui and participate in other activities, so it is best to be tested in advance of travel to enjoy your well-deserved vacation in paradise.)

Aloha,
